Major Engineering work will be taking place between Chorley and Preston from 26 July to 07 September 2008.
First TransPennine Express & Northern Rail services will operate to a revised timetable.
First TransPennine Express services will be diverted between Manchester & Preston and will not call at Lostock, Horwich Parkway, Blackrod, Adlington or Chorley. A limited number of services will also not call at Bolton.
In addition some services will start from / terminate at Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Oxford Road and will not serve Manchester Airport.
A Rail Replacement bus service will operate between Chorley and Preston. Buses will also operate between Bolton and Chorley to supplement the Northern Rail servivce.
Customers are advised to check all journey details before travelling and allow sufficient extra time to complete your journey.

The 0100 Manchester Airport to York service will be retimed to depart Manchester Piccadilly at 0117, Huddersfield 0207, Leeds 0253 and arrive at York 0321.
The 0317 Manchester Airport to Middlesbrough service will be retimed to depart Huddersfield 0419 (Earlier than previously advertised) and Leeds 0459. All other times unaltered.

Additional rail services will operate from Carlisle to Glasgow Central at 1152 & 1918 and run at previously advertised times.
Additional rail services will operate from Carlisle to Edinburgh at 0943, 1345, 1544 & 1744 and run at previously advertised times.
The 0840 & 1340 Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport and 0841, 1152, 1552 & 1752 Edinburgh to Manchester Airport services will terminate at Carlisle. Rail Replacement buses will operate from Carlisle to Preston via Penrith, Oxenholme and Lancaster.
The 2247 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will terminate at Preston. A Rail replacement bus will operate from Preston to Blackpool North via Kirkham & Wesham, Poulton-le-Fylde, Layton & Blackpool North.

The 0955 Barrow-in-Furness to Manchester Airport service will terminate at Carnforth. A Rail replacement bus will operate from Carnforth to Preston via Lancaster.
The 0936 Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central service will not run.
The 1145 Manchester Oxford Road to Edinburgh service will terminate at Preston.
The 1327 Manchester Oxford Road to Edinburgh, 1542 Manchester Piccadilly to Edinburgh & 1742 Manchester Piccadilly to Glasgow services will terminate at Lancaster.
Additional rail services will operate from Carlisle dep 1336, 1547 & 1742 to Edinburgh.
An additional rail service will operate from Carlisle to Glasgow Central at 1944 and run at previously advertised times.
The 1335 Glasgow Central to Manchester Piccadilly and 1143, 1543 & 1737 Edinburgh to Manchester Piccadilly services will terminate at Carlisle. Rail Replacement buses will operate from Carlisle to Lancaster via Penrith and Oxenholme.
Additional Rail services will operate from Lancaster dep 1356, 1552, 1750 & 1950 to Manchester Piccadilly.

A Rail replacement bus will operate from Leeds to Manchester Airport via Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly.
The 2322 Manchester Airport to York service will be diverted between Huddersfield and Leeds and will not call at Dewsbury. This service will be retimed to depart Leeds at 0111 and arrive at York 0157. A Rail replacement bus will operate from Huddersfield to York via Dewsbury and Leeds.
Tuesday to Friday
The 0100 Manchester Airport to York service will be retimed to depart Huddersfield at 0219, Leeds 0254 and arrive York at 0331.
The 0317 Manchester Airport to Middlesbrough service will be retimed to depart Leeds 0518 and arrive at York 0556 where it will terminate. An additional service will operate from York (dep 0540) to Middlesbrough and run at previously advertised times.
The 0213 & 0313 York to Manchester Airport services will be retimed to run later than previously advertised between Leeds & Manchester Airport.

The 0936 Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central service will terminate at Preston.
The 0955 Barrow-in-Furness to Manchester Oxford Road service will terminate at Carnforth. A Rail replacement bus will operate from Carnforth via Lancaster to Preston.
The following services will be replaced by buses:
1140 Windermere to Oxenholme
1230 Windermere to Oxenholme – replacement bus service will depart Windermere 1212 and arrive Oxenholme 1300 (for connection into Virgin Trains service to London Euston)
1210 Oxenholme to Windermere
An additional bus will operate from Oxenholme (dep 1047) to Windermere.

The 2313 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted between Leyland and Manchester Piccadilly and will not call at Chorley, Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich Parkway, Lostock or Bolton. This service will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly. A Rail replacement bus will operate from Preston to Manchester Airport calling at affected stations.
An additional bus will operate from Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Airport connecting out of the train service.
The 2247 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will start from Manchester Piccadilly. A Rail replacement bus will operate from Manchester Airport (dep 2238) to Manchester Piccadilly to connect with this service.
An additional bus will operate from Manchester Airport (dep 2247) calling at Heald Green, Gatley, East Didsbury, Burnage, Mauldeth Road and Manchester Piccadilly and then call to set down only at Bolton and all stations to Blackpool North.
Tuesday to Friday
The 0336 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will not call at Bolton and will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly.
A Rail replacement bus will operate from Bolton to Manchester Airport via Manchester Piccadilly.
The 0106 and 0340 services from Manchester Airport to Blackpool North will start from Manchester Piccadilly at 0141 and 0411 respectively and will not call at Bolton. These services will be retimed to run later than previously advertised between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North.
The 0547 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will start from Manchester Piccadilly.
A Rail replacement bus will operate from Manchester Airport (dep 0522) to Manchester Piccadilly to connect.
