Season Ticket Compensation

We have launched our Season Ticket Compensation scheme as an apology for disruption in late 2019.

Season Ticket Compensation

We have launched our Season Ticket Compensation scheme as an apology for the recent disruption across our network. This compensation will cancel the 2.8% regulated fare increase this year for Season Ticket holders.

This scheme, which provides 3% of the annualised cost of your Season Ticket cost back to you, is applicable to all Weekly, Monthly and Annual tickets held between the 1 October and 31 December 2019 and valid for travel on TransPennine Express services. Details of how we have calculated this is in the Frequently Asked Questions, below.

To apply for the Season Ticket Compensation scheme email us at tpe.seasontickets@firstgroup.com and provide all of the following information:

  • First and last name
  • Postal address including postcode
  • Email address
  • Photo of Season Ticket(s) including photocard, or
  • SmartCard number, or
  • Bank statement/receipt showing an active ticket(s) in the above timeframe

Please make sure the information you provide us is complete and accurate. If any information is missing or inaccurate, this could cause a delay in your claim being processed. Please note that all payments will be paid via cheque.

Once we have received your claim you will receive an automated response. We will get back to you confirming your payment as soon as we can.
