A season ticket is a ticket that allows unlimited travel in both directions between two specific stations for a specified amount of time, whether a week, month, multiple months or a year.
If you travel regularly along the same route then getting a season ticket will save you time and money on your train tickets.
You can use your train season ticket to travel as many times as you want between your chosen stations in your chosen timeframe.
Season tickets are available as a weekly train ticket, for one calendar month and any period between one - 12 months, which offers significant savings over buying an Anytime Day Return each day.
You'll be able to travel on any day within the validity of the ticket and avoid having to queue repeatedly for your train ticket. A Flexi Season Ticket offers eight days of travel in 28 days any time between two stations.
Season tickets are also available on a Smart card, a durable, ticket- sized plastic card with a microchip that stores your season tickets, giving you all the benefits of smarter train travel. Think quick and easy travel between your stations, whenever you want to jump on one of our trains. Register your TransPennine Express Smart card to your account, or apply for a Smart card here if you don’t already have one.
The right season ticket will depend on how often you want to travel and your budget. For example, if you’re planning on going into the office for four days in one week, a weekly season ticket will save you money rather than buying a ticket each day you travel.
If your weekly travel is consistent, it makes sense to opt for a monthly season ticket. An annual ticket or a season ticket for multiple months (between one and 12 months) will save you even more money than buying a monthly season ticket each month.
A Flexi Season Ticket is a great option if you want more flexibility with your travel plans and don’t plan to travel more than eight days in 28 days.
There are plenty of reasons to buy a season ticket, whether you want to save time at the station, cut your travel costs or keep on top of your ongoing travel expenses.
