If you regularly travel with the same person for work or pleasure, you could save money on your trips with a Two Together Railcard.
If you travel regularly with a friend, partner, relative or colleague you could both save 1/3 off your train tickets with a Two Together Railcard.
It’s not just cheap train tickets you and your travel companion can enjoy when you’ve got a Two Together Railcard. You can also get money off accommodation, holidays, meals, theatre shows, days out and other experiences.
With a Two Together Railcard discount or promo code you could take advantage of extra savings with companies such as tastecard, Virgin Experience Days, Haven Holidays and Hoseasons.
So whether you’re going away for a romantic minibreak, need to refuel after a busy day at work, or want to treat your friend to a day out, there are more ways to save while having fun with the Two Together Railcard.
The Two Together Railcard is for two named people aged 16 or over travelling together. You might be a couple going away for a weekend, colleagues who travel for work, or friends who enjoy visiting new places together.
The Two Together Railcard gives you 1/3 off standard and First Class Anytime and off-peak and Advanced purchase train tickets.
You can’t get the Railcard discount on train journeys between 4.30 am and 9.30am during the week, but there are no time restrictions over the weekend and this rule doesn’t apply on Bank Holidays.
You can use your Railcard on any routes throughout Great Britain, including those on the TransPennine Express network, which covers the North of England and Scotland.
A Two Together Railcard costs £30 for the year – and if you split it with the other person that means it will only cost you £15 each to enjoy cheaper train travel.
You can buy a Two Together Railcard online, from a station or over the phone.
If you buy the Railcard online you’ll need a digital photo of you and a photo of the second person who will be named on the discount card. You should allow up to five working days for your travel card to arrive in the post, so make sure you give yourself enough time if you’ve got a trip coming up.
You can also download and complete an application form and take this to a staffed ticket office. Remember to take passport photos of you and your companion.
If you’d prefer to phone, you can call 0345 3000 250 to buy your railcard. If you do this, you’ll still need to email your photos.
If you lose your Two Together Railcard or it’s damaged, you can get a replacement one by either applying online or going to a train station where there’s a staffed ticket office.If you go to a train station, you’ll have to remember to take your stamped receipt.
It will cost you £10 to replace a lost or damaged Two Together Railcard.
In the unfortunate event that your Railcard is stolen, you can get a free replacement if you have a crime reference number.
You can renew your railcard online or from a train station. Even if you didn’t buy your Two Together Railcard online in the first instance, you can still renew it through the website. You can renew your card when it’s within one month of its expiry date.
The Two Together Railcard may be the best option for you if you regularly travel with the same person – but there are other Railcard options available if you don’t think it’s quite right for you.
