Heaton Park in Manchester will be hosting the Manchester rock band, Oasis, to a sellout crowd of 80,000 people on the following dates, with those heading to any of the gigs advised to plan ahead:
Wednesday 16 July
Saturday 19 July
Sunday 20 July
While we will do all we can to transport customers to and from the events, engineering work will be taking place on parts of our network as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade, meaning that amended timetables will be in place for services to and from Manchester.
Excessive heat is expected across the UK over the coming weekend and into Monday, so customers are advised to carry a bottle of water when travelling. Services are also expected to be busier than usual, and customers heading to the gigs by train are advised to allow plenty of time to travel and check before they do so, including last trains running during the evening, by using National Rail Enquiries or JourneyCheck.
Search your upcoming trip in the journey checker above to see any updates to your service.
Sign up to JourneyCheck Alerts and never be caught off guard by disruption again. Simply select the routes you wish to be alerted on and receive updates if the service changes (for better or worse).
Take a look at our engineering calendar to find out if your upcoming journey may be impacted by planned engineering works.

We know cancellations can be frustrating, and often it can leave you feeling unsure of what your options are. The information below will help you get you on your way, as easily and quickly as possible.
If your train is cancelled, and you still wish to travel to your planned destination, you don't have to buy a new ticket to travel that day. You can:
• Board any Northern, TransPennine Express, Southeastern or LNER train that's heading in the same direction (within 2 hours)
If you no longer wish to travel, you can:
• Request a full refund from your point of purchase
If you can't travel on the train you planned to travel on, due to cancellation, you can also use a Northern, TransPennine Express, Southeastern or LNER service to get to your destination within two hours either side of the time of your cancelled service.
As long as you are travelling to the same destination as stated on your ticket and are travelling within two hours either side of the time of your cancelled service, all you'll need to show is your original train ticket. Then let the conductor/Train Manager know your original train was cancelled.
If the last service of the day is cancelled, you can get on any other service that gets you closer to your destination for a connection.
You can use any Northern, TransPennine Express, Southeastern or LNER service to get to your destination within two hours either side of the time of your cancelled service.
If there is still no option to travel after a cancelled last service, please speak to a member of staff or a help point who can give advice and travel information.
Where possible board any Northern, TransPennine Express, Southeastern or LNER train that's heading in the same direction.
If this is not possible, due to a cancelled train, please speak with a member of staff at your departure station who can advise travel arrangements.
If you travelled with us and reached your destination 15 or more minutes late, you are entitled to delay repay compensation.
