Now in its eighth year, this historic estate will once again be transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland for 2024. The gardens, moat and parkland will all be illuminated by twinkling lights and accompanied by seasonal music for a truly atmospheric experience. The park’s lake will house colourful creations that will reflect across the glistening surface and new for this year, there’ll be a star-filled tunnel – the perfect spot for a family photo. Along the trail, you can indulge in sweet treats such as hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows, and there’s also a chance to meet Father Christmas himself.

The Glittering Trail is one of the main attractions, featuring stunning installations, illuminated puppets and costumed characters that bring the stories to life. As you wander the trail, you can treat yourself to delicious festive snacks such as marshmallows, waffles and mini pancakes. And don’t miss the Yuletide Gathering, where fire jugglers, festive folk music and mulled wine await!

    When: 18th November – 1st January

    Winter Lights at The Alnwick Garden is back for 2024 and better than ever. Just a 15-minute bus ride from Alnmouth train station, this breathtaking light trail will make an excellent addition to your Christmas agenda. Once you’ve completed the trail, kids will have the chance to meet Father Christmas in Lilidorei, along with Santa’s reindeer and the elves. When it comes to food and drinks, you can expect to find everything from mulled wine and hot chocolate to festive snacks from local food producers.
