You’ll see top touring comedians and new up and coming talent, whether you want a mid-week night out or are after the best way to unwind after a busy week at work.
Where: 2 Central Road, Leeds, LS1 6DE.
This Saturday night feast of comedy has been a staple in Leeds for over 20 years. Doors open at around 6.30pm and the event runs until 10.30pm with the first comedian on stage around 7.45pm. It’s been the launchpad for so many comedians over the years, including the likes of Joe Lycett, Katherine Ryan, Jason Manford, Jon Richardson, Sarah Millican and Russell Howard.
Acts including Alun Cochrane, Tom Wrigglesworth and Matt Richardson are all scheduled to take to the stage in January at The Comedy Club. Advance tickets are around £14, so get yourself down. Just remember that fancy dress isn’t allowed.

Where: 27-29 Headingley Lane, Hyde Park, Leeds, LS6 1BL.
This Hyde Park institution may be small, but the relaxed venue manages to pack plenty of people and some top performers in for its regular comedy nights. Tickets go quickly for major names at the Hyde Park Book Club, and you can also expect to see up and comers as well as fringe nights.
Ian Smith is bringing his new solo show fresh from Edinburgh Fringe here in February, as is Alexandra Haddow. They’re both not to be missed.

Alan Carr and John Bishop had early shows here, and in early 2024 you can catch the likes of Llyod Griffith, Dani Johns, Scott Bennett and Jack Gleadow telling the jokes.
Where: Playhouse Square, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UP.
Comedy gigs used to be much more frequent at Leeds Playhouse, but when they do put one on these days it’s usually a top performer. And that’s the case in early 2024, with Stewart Lee performing across three nights at the start of February. Grab your tickets as they’re going fast.
Where: Courthouse Street, Otley, Leeds LS21 3AN.
There’s always loads going on at the Otley Courthouse, with an eclectic line up of music, performers and comedy gigs. You’ll likely catch various comedy stars on tour, with both Omid Djalili and Mark Simmons appearing here in early 2024.
