There are 23 train stations in Lincolnshire. Lincoln train station is the busiest in the region, with around 1.9 million passengers passing through it each year. In the north of the county, both Grimsby Town station and Scunthorpe station are popular. In the south, the main stations are Grantham, Stamford, Boston, Spalding and Skegness.

Cleethorpes beach is close by, and Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre is an award-winning attraction. Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is ideal for a family-friendly day out.
Grantham is a market town on the border of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. It is famous as the birthplace of both Sir Isaac Newton and Margaret Thatcher, with plenty of historic attractions to enjoy. Grantham is also well known for its unique gingerbread, which can be sampled at the town’s independent cafes.
Skegness is a large town on the coast in Southeast Lincolnshire. It has a long tradition as a seaside resort and is still a popular option today. Skegness beach is one of the best family-friendly beaches in the region. The town has a Roman history, with Roman pottery occasionally found along the shore.
Boston is a market town and inland port in Lincolnshire. It is packed with historic buildings, including Boston Guildhall and St. Botolph’s Church. Great beaches like Brancaster beach and Old Hunstanton beach are close by, as is the stunning Lincolnshire countryside.
