Whitby

Whitby is a stunning North Yorkshire seaside town. The beach is the ideal place to relax and there’s plenty to do around every corner of its cobbled streets. The ruined Gothic Whitby Abbey sits on the East Cliff overlooking the North Sea, and you can’t miss walking the 199 steps up to the Church of St Mary.

Knaresborough

Knaresborough is a North Yorkshire spa town, just three miles from Harrogate. It has an idyllic riverside, an iconic viaduct and promises stunning views. The marketplace in the centre of town is the perfect place to relax with a cuppa, whilst the Nidd Gorge is a beautiful wooden landscape packed with wildlife.

Harrogate

This boutique spa town is often called the “Jewel of the North”. Harrogate has so much to offer visitors including the Montpellier Quarter and Ripley Castle and Gardens. The town is packed with beautiful streets, many of which buzz with bars, restaurants and cafes.

Skipton

Skipton is a picturesque town, famous for its stunning castle. As the getaway to the Yorkshire Dales, it’s a wonderful location to enjoy some of Britain’s best countryside. Skipton is ideal for a day trip or a longer break due to its many independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Richmond

Richmond is one of the most picturesque market towns in all of Britain. It has an iconic castle, a sweeping cobbled market place, riverside views and many historic buildings – it’s also ideally placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst there is no train station in the town, the closest train station to Richmond is Darlington, 12 miles away. You can catch a bus from Darlington to the centre of Richmond.

Ripon

Ripon is a cathedral city in North Yorkshire. A trip to Ripon is a real cultural treat, whether you’re visiting for a weekend or a little longer. The city has three award winning museums, a Gothic cathedral, racecourse and more. The nearest train station to Ripon is either Harrogate (11 miles), Thirsk (11 miles) or York (27 miles).
